- Mung bean and vegetablle salad; Aloo Gobi
- Tofu spring salad; Brown and black rice with raisins and napa cabbage
- Tempeh in leek sauce; Buckwheat, rye and millet with sunflower seeds and sumac

- Seitan in garlic-ginger sauce with broccoli and kale;
Persian rice with red beets and sumac - Tempeh slaw; Piquante potatoes with paprika and lime
- Indian green lentils with celery root; Kamut and faro pilaf with sweet potato

- Black-eyed peas with lacinato kale in rich cumin-coriander sauce; sticky brown rice, carrot and beauty heart radish seasoned with rice vinegar and nori

- Spanish pinto bean stew; brown and pink rice with roasted Roma tomatoes, rosemary and sunflower seeds
- Green lentils with daikon and beauty heart radish; potatoes and squash with roasted cumin
- Mock chicken salad; buckwheat pilaf with red cabbage and sweet potato

- Moong dal with kale and garam masala; barley and amaranth with apple and sesame
This week rich smoked paprika in the pinto bean stew. Slow-roasted Roma tomatoes (even we can’t only eat tomatoes in July and August). Classic Indian moong dal with our homemade garam masala to keep us warm with these spring winds.

Farm to School Benefit Art Auction
Farm to School Benefit and Silent Art Auction
IOWA CITY, IA – On Friday, March 21, guests will relax and enjoy an evening of fine dining against the beauty and excitement of a silent art auction and raffle at the Wedge in downtown Iowa City, from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening. The event is free, open to the public, and sponsored in part by Four Square Meals, which will be providing complimentary samples. The event committee is passionate about the mission of Farm to School and is working diligently to make sure this event is fun and fabulous.
Guests will have the ability to enjoy the first day of Spring with a warming bowl of the Red Avocado’s Coconut Corn Soup, which will henceforth be a featured menu item at the Wedge, and available at discounted prices during this event. The works of many local artists will be on temporary display and auctioned off during the silent, with fifty percent of the proceeds going to Farm to School.
The highlight of the silent auction, an original Salvador Dali woodblock print illustration (“the Second Cornice”) from the Divine Comedy, will be the only item with a minimum starting bid ($2,000). Additionally, there will also be a raffle featuring prizes from New Pioneer Food Co-op, Four Square Meals, The Wedge Downtown and many more local businesses. The proceeds of this raffle will be donated to Farm to School; There will be something for everyone. aturday March 8 at 6pm, Chef Dave of Four Square Meals will be serving a 3 course vegan meal at Channing Hall, on the corner of Iowa and Gilbert, downtown Iowa City
